I wrote about it here, but I believe strength is the basis for everything. Being stronger makes you more resilient both mentally and physically.
I'm a big believer in preventative health through strength training and diet. Many of the illnesses and health issues we see today are not just preventable but extremely expensive to treat, especially once the illness has progressed. In my current occupation, a large part of what I do is talk to health care providers about preventative treatments for asthma and childhood diseases. Everyone should take charge of their health and strive to be a little more fit and a little bit stronger. Even small changes in both diet, exercise and overall lifestyle can go a long way. You will feel better, move better and live better.
